Distributors can see the catalog once it is up on Meesho. Then, they can choose which items they would like to resell. Once they have decided, they can share those items on their WhatsApp account.

At WhatsApp, families, peers, and customers of the distributor can get the product details. No need to leave the app. Once they buy, the distributor can earn by adding a profit margin to the total cost. This is the manufacturer’s original price plus the shipping cost.

The distributors, in other words, can add any amount of profit they want over the total cost. That extra money will be theirs. Thus, making this scheme the reason why Meesho is a success. Why?

Both manufacturers and distributors have a big market. Also, more and more people are becoming distributors. Thus, helping manufacturers reach more areas and customers. This is hard to do if they do it alone.
